Watching my youngest son, Ivar, dash to the front door whenever the postman arrived — only to be disappointed when there was nothing for him — sparked an idea.

What if I wrote him a letter of his own?

So I wrote him one about the Battle of Hastings. When it arrived, his eyes lit up. We sat down and read it together, and I realised there was something special in that little yellow envelope.

I began writing a new history letter each month. Soon, all three of my children were eagerly waiting to discover where — and when — the next one would take them.

And that’s how Noah’s Letters began.

Today, we send those same adventures to children across the world, hoping to spark their curiosity and bring a little more excitement to history.
